Unveiling the Mystery of our spirits!
1 Corinthians 2:10-11 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
Genesis 1:26-27 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
Knowing our spirit, in all its forms and functions, is the key element that allows us to grow as sons of God.” Most people do not really know who they fundamentally are? Some people think they are merely a physical being with feelings, emotions and will. Who we think we are comes from the revelation of God who created us. Unless we know who we really are and how we are constituted, we will never really become who we were meant to be and fulfil our destiny.
In this sermon, I will show you that we are a spirit dwelling in body with a soul! The soul is a amazing creation of God that allows us to interface the spiritual to the physical realm. This also makes us totally different from another other created being! We are unique in our constitution – there is no other!
When we know we are spirit and the Holy Spirit comes and regenerate our spirits when are converted, we will begin to understand the vital importance of recognising that our lives must be empowered from our spirits and not our souls. This is vitally important because the apostle Paul said that this indicates we are truly sons of our Father! Only when we are so led that we can really enter fully into the glorious destiny ordained for us.
