The Truth of the Pre-Wrath Rapture!

1 Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Matt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

Matt 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Matt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Mark 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. 20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days

One of the most important keys to understand the word of God is to read the various passages on the same subject without a previous position or bias on the subject. If we do this with the subject of Rapture and Tribulation, we will come to a clear understand of the truth and allow the word of God to defend itself against any man-made perspectives or position.

For a reader of the word to go away from the reading of the above scriptures and say that Christians will be taken out of the world before the tribulation even begin, it will have to involve a lot of reading into and interpreting with certain impositions upon the word. One imposition will be interpretation of the word ‘Elect’. For people who hold this view, the word ‘Elect’ cannot refer to Christians but they will have to define it in such a way which will contradict how the bible use it in other places.

It is important for us to let the word speak to us in how God has intended and not to read into it. Otherwise, a whole generation of Christians may not be prepared for what is to come in the End Times, worse still be offended and fall away.

May the Holy Spirit guide us as we delve into this subject of the Rapture and Tribulation. Amen.
