The Feast of Trumpets!

Listen to this sermon

We have entered the new Jewish Civil year 5774. The religious year began 6 months ago but the civil year began on Sept 4th. The New Year began with the Fall feasts as opposed to the Spring Feasts. The Spring Feasts consist of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost(Feast of Weeks). The Fall Feasts begin with the Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement ten days later and Feast of Tabernacles another five days later.

What is the significance of the Feasts of God? They are not just the feasts of the Jews as we have become the spiritual Israel and therefore they have become our feasts. However, we do not have to celebrate them like the Jews but we certainly need to know their meanings as they are directly relevant and important to us.

The key difference between the spring feasts and the fall feast is that the former are fulfilled in Jesus already whereas the latter are about to be fulfilled – very likely in our generation! Isn’t that exciting? After a separation of 2000 years, we are now ready to witness the fulfillment of the Fall feasts! That is why we must understand their meanings and be ready for what God has in store for us. Listen closely to this sermon and you will be geared up for the end times. Amen.
