Are you really a Holy Priest?

Hebrews 7:12 For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas
and Saul for the work where unto I have called them

1 Peter 2:9a But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,

Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers,[a] you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

Revelation 1:5b …To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood 6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. (He was priest of God
Most High.) 19 And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!” And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

1 Kings 18:20 So Ahab sent to all the people of Israel and gathered the prophets together at Mount Carmel. 21 And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.

When we look at the world with God’s perspective, we can see clearly that there are two kingdoms, two altars and two priesthoods servicing these altars that determine the destiny of families, communities and nations!

The concept of a priest is very interesting and intriguing! Where did this concept come from? If there is not a realm of the supernatural beyond what we see naturally, why do we need a priest? What is the role of a priest and why is it so important? We will realise that what happens to a nation is dependent on who are the priests on the land and whether evil altars or holy altars are being serviced more powerfully and thus prevailing in the land!

If the church, called as a holy nation and royal priesthood will not rise up to establish holy altars and service them faithfully, evil altars will prevail in the land and we are responsible for the consequences in the land.

The question: “are you really a holy priest?” is powerfully important for you own life and the destiny of your family and nation. This sermon will exhort you to understand how to rise up and contend for the nation as a holy priest of God! Amen.
