The Church without Walls!
Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Luke 10:8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
Today, we have the wonderful privilege of hosting the Co-founder of the “March for Jesus” Movement and International leader of YWAM, Lynn Green to bring God’s message to us.
“Founded in 1987 by Gerald Coates of the Pioneer church network, Roger Forster from Ichthus Christian Fellowship, pioneering British worship leader Graham Kendrick and Youth With A Mission director Lynn Green as a call for people to pray for one day in the city of London, it attracted 15,000 Christians from many denominations despite the incessant rain. From a wet grey day in London in 1987 have come three million people marching in the sunshine of Brazil. From a group of 15,000 people struggling to be noticed in a hustling city has emerged a crowd of one million in Sao Paulo where the march day has had so much impact it is now declared as a public holiday.” (Lins Honeyman)
From this march for Jesus comes the breakthrough concepts of Prayer and Praise Walking and Church without walls which were instrumental in bringing the church to become more visible to the world instead of being confined to the four walls of a building! This is really very in tune with the what Jesus did two thousand years ago when He sent the disciples into the street to preach the gospel of the Kingdom, heal the sick and deliver the demon possessed!
May we continue to march to the apostolic Kingdom call of the Lord and prophetically bring nations to their destiny in the Lord! Amen.
