Speak to the Rock!

Num 20:8 “Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock in front of them, so that it will pour out its water. In this way you shall bring water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their livestock drink [fresh water].”

1 Cor 10:2 And all [of them] were baptized into Moses [into his safekeeping as their leader] in the cloud and in the sea; 3 and all [of them] ate the same spiritual food; 4 and all [of them] drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.

Gen 2:10a And a river went out of Eden to water the garden;

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

John 7:38 He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’”

Whenever we come face to face with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle, we can respond with two main ways! Complain and gossip was the way the Israelites responded to their lack of water which will lead to death. Paul said in 1 Corinthians that what happened with the nation of Israel are mega lessons for us today! What can we learn from this episode in Numbers 20 when we are staring into death?

God spoke with Moses and the congregation to speak to the Rock! Instead of complaining and gossiping, are you speaking to the Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ our Lord when we are faced with a wall?

Something miraculous will happen when we speak to the Rock! Paul said in 1 Corinthians that we speak mysteries to God when we speak in tongues! Something powerful happens when we do that! There will be a download of revelation, wisdom and strategies when we speak to the Rock! A cloud of glory begins to build up over us as we worship and sing in the spirit! We are being transported into God’s glory zone where the impossible becomes possible! Start and keep on speaking to the Rock! Amen.
