Resurrection Glory! The day that Changed the World!

Hosea 6:1 Come, let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us; in the third day he will raise up up, we shall live in his sight.

Luke 23:46 And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit!” Having said this, He breathed His last.

Rom 3:23 since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God,

Acts 2:31 he foresaw and spoke [prophetically] of the resurrection of the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), that He was not abandoned [in death] to Hades (the realm of the dead), nor did His body undergo decay.

Luke 24:45 Then He opened their minds to [help them] understand the Scriptures, 46 and said, “And so it is written, that the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

Resurrection Sunday is the Most important day in the History of Humankind! The Course of History was completely altered because of this Day!

The Most important question to ask is “Did Jesus really rise from the dead?” That was the question that the just released movie “Risen” was wanting to answer! If Jesus did not rise from the dead, all that we do is in vain! Christianity is reduced to at best a religion, a set of beliefs and at worse a deluded group of people who are passionate for something empty.

The substance of our belief as Christians is undoubtedly the resurrection of Jesus Christ! The resurrection proved that Jesus had conquered the last enemy of men – death which came as a result of sin and therefore the fear has been totally removed! Those of us who believe in the finished work of Jesus and have received Him as Lord and Saviour will enter into His presence in heaven the moment our time here is complete! There is no fear of death as it has become simply a door into His glorious presence!

However, those who did not receive Him will enter Hades after death to be tormented like the rich man in Luke 16 and the final destiny will be the lake of fire for eternity. While we still have the time and opportunity, may we choose rightly and walk in accordance with His plans for our lives! Enjoy the resurrection glory of Christ today! Amen.
