“The Last Shemitah!”

The Year of Rest: Advancing the Kingdom!
The Final Shemitah!
Heb 12:27 Now this expression, Yet once more, indicates the final removal and transformation of all [that can be] shaken—that is, of that which has been created—in order that what cannot be shaken may remain and continue.
Heb 12:28 Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe;
Lev 25:20 And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
Isaiah 9:10 The bricks have fallen, but we will build [all the better] with hewn stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put [costlier] cedars in their place
Prov 27:12 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
God instituted the Shemitah to be a blessing to the nation of Israel and to all people as they were supposed to be examples to the world how blessed it is to be a nation under God. But when a nation departs from God, rejects Him, then the blessing will not come. Instead, the protection is lifted and the nation will now be left to defend herself. There will be a shaking!
In fact, it is simply amazing when we track the impact of the Shemitah on the rise and fall of nations in the last century. The Shemitah year of 1917 saw the fall of four big empires – two of which took centuries to build and two others decades were all wiped out! Most notable is the rise of USA against the backdrop of the decline of the British empire in 1945 where the Japanese and German Nazi empires collapsed.
In the last seventy years, we saw how the Shemitah gave rise to the formation of Israel and the return of the Jews to their homeland and at the same time, the seeds of decline sown on US soil. In fact, all the nine warning signs that were given to ancient Israel before their collapse in 586BC have now taken place on US soil! What can we expect the next the Shemitah ending September 13, 2015 to bring and what about the Final Shemitah. All these provide great material for an exciting preaching time this Sunday and may the Lord show you the way to take into the future. Amen.
