The Most Important Revelation of Jesus!

Heb 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high

Mark 10:13–14 “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”

John 17:4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

John 10:37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me

If Christians were to be asked what was the most important task that Jesus came to accomplished two thousand years ago, I am sure almost 100% of respondents would say his death on the Cross for all of humanity! This is correct and no one can take away the centrality of the Cross in the gospel. But if you were to scrutinise more carefully the words, deeds and actions of Jesus, you would come to realise that while going to the Cross was an action of supreme accomplishment and focus, there was something deeper and broader than that! What is it? Jesus came to reveal something so important, so life changing that we cannot do without it. In fact, the reason why He has to go to the Cross is so that we can walk in this revelation.

Once this revelation hit you, you will have “new eyes”! When you read the gospels with these “new eyes”, you will have an entire revelation open up to you when all along it was there but you cannot perceive it! Listen carefully to this sermon and your lives will never be the same even as you will read the gospels in a radically different way! Amen.
