The City Taking Third Day Church!

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Luke 19:11 While they were listening to these things, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and they assumed that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately [as soon as He reached the city]

Luke 19:16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities

This parable told by Jesus about the Kingdom of God is very revealing concerning our role in the 1000 years of the Millennial reign with Jesus! We will be rewarded with authority over a number of cities depending on how well we have conducted our ‘business’ now in this life!

The Word that was used for our conducting our business is “occupy” which is a military word! We are not called to retreat into our corner but to infiltrate and possess the gates of the enemy! We are called to be City-takers and nation-transformers! The Church is the Embassy of the Kingdom of God enforcing the culture and values of the latter onto the present world system!

How can we take cities? The Key word is Covenant! David was in covenant with the elders of Israel in Hebron and they anointed him for the third time! Covenant must always come before the Kingdom! Covenant Families have the Power to take cities by releasing the Kingdom of God!

David, the covenant King of Israel became greater and greater because God was with him! He was in covenant with God and with men! That is the Key! Amen.
