Activating the Father’s Blessing!

Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Heb 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils

Heb 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Activating the Father’s Blessing must certainly follow after we have learnt of its amazing power! The question is: How do we do it? We need to go back to first things first! After Adam and Eve failed in their mission after being blessed, God in His sovereignty called Abram out of the Ur of the Chaldees in an amazing faith journey that is a picture of the Christian life! We are also considered children of faith and therefore children of Abraham! God blessed Abraham and through him, the nations were blessed. How did Abraham activate the Father’s blessing in his life?

This is where we need to turn to Genesis 15 where there two major battles were fought and after that, something seemed to come out of nowhere which was highly significant to activating the blessing of the Father! Who appeared from no where and what did Abraham do? Listen carefully to this sermon as it will powerfully transform your lives! Amen.
