Kingdom Paradigms for Reigning!

Matt 5:38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matt 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your ene-mies and pray for those who persecute you,

Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Sir Isaac Newton was one of the foremost if not the most brilliant scientist of his era. He developed laws of motion and gravitation which controlled physics for 200 years because of their explanato-ry and analytical supremacy.

Later scientists discovered slight inconsistencies which Einstein’s theory of relativity explained perfectly. The end result was a para-digm shift from Newton’s force of gravity in a flat, infinite uni-verse to Einstein’s curved space-time.

This is an example of an important type of paradigm shift: the new paradigm explains more things, and from it the old one can be de-rived as a consequence, a special case, or an approximation. Para-digm shifts happen all the time and in increasing intensity and tur-bulence in our time. We need to avoid falling to what experts called a “paradigm paralysis” where we reject new data that our old para-digms cannot accept! When companies do this, they will often find themselves like Nokia, once a leading cell phone manufacturer fall into the trap of irrelevancy with serious consequences for their bottom line and survivability.

Churches too can fall into a “paradigm paralysis” when their old par-adigms could not accept fresh revelation of God’s word with their accompanying manifestations. We have seen this happening all over Europe who was once the powerhouse of Christianity where revivals and reformation had shape the contours of missions for many cen-turies.

A massive paradigm shift is taking place right now in the church and the kingdom and it behooves us to be open to the fresh revelations and manifestations of God’s glory and power that will prepare the world for the second coming of Jesus Christ! Amen.
