The Imitation of Sonship!
Listen to this sermon
The most widely read Christian book is actually a classic written in the 15th century entitled, Imitation of Christ. In fact, I read that no book other than the bible has been translated into more languages than the Imitation of Christ. Why is this book so widely read? Perhaps at the heart of Christianity is the emphasis on change that we all need as we imitate Christ!
In fact, the accounts of leaders in the bible are extensively recorded for us for one purpose! What is that? Based on Hebrews 13:7-8, we are exhorted to consider the outcome of their way of life and to imitate their faith. This is followed by the verse that we often quote, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forevermore”.
What is God saying to us? There is a “way of life” that will produce a desirable outcome that pleases God and that has not changed because Jesus Christ did not change. What is that way of life? How do we imitate the faith of leaders? As you listen closely to this message, you will experience an inner change and faith will begin to rise up in you to move you to your destiny in Him. Be blessed!
