Goodness of God: Incomprehensible but can be Experienced!

Rom 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

2 Corinthians 5:20( AMP) So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us; we [as Christ’s representatives] plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God.

“The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8).

Psalm 34:8a O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good;

Ephesians 3:20–21: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen”

The Goodness of God is considered by many as the Cornerstone of Theology! The great theologian AW Tozer said “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us”. Therefore thinking about God’s goodness is critically important to how we live, love, pray and even play. So the question is, “Are we thinking about God correctly?” Do we understand His goodness? If we do not, we cannot properly represent Him to the world! Worse still, we misrepresent Him and turn them away from the Kingdom and I am sure none of us want to do that!

Therefore it behooves us to understand the Goodness of God very well. How can we? His attributes and especially His goodness are unfathomable. The Good news is He invites us to experience Him – O taste and see that the Lord is good! Like the concept of love, the goodness is God is better apprehended through tasting and experiencing Him. May we know His Goodness more and more and step with great faith into the uncertain and unknown being assured of His good plans for us – to bless and give us a wonderful future. Amen.
