An Important CrossOver Point for Thailand

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziahdied I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and Histrain filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had sixwings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, andwith twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said,Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at thevoice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

We are all saddened by the passing away of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej whose love and compassion for Thai people has earned him the respect and honour as the beloved Father of Thailand. We continue to pray for what HM King Bhumibol has stood for – unity, peace and stability of Thailand during this year of mourning. May God bless every person living in Thailand, especially Thai people with His love, comfort, strength and hope during this time.

As a nation, we are at a key important CrossOver Point. For the last 70 years, HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been a pillar of strength, hope and comfort for this nation.

For a long time, Isaiah was looking to King Uzziah as the icon of hope and stability. When he passed on, Isaiah said he saw the Lord sitting on the throne high and lifted up. What does this picture convey to us? That God our heavenly Father is the Lord of heaven and earth and He is sitting on His throne- He is in full control of everything that has happened and will happen in this nation.

May we draw strength and comfort from God our Heavenly Father who loves the people in this nation of Thailand! We know our Heavenly Father will fill us with the warmth of His love and presence. Amen.
